It doesn’t get any better does it….not only do you get some amazing facilities here at the Summit Centre, but if you book any of our facilities for whatever reason and would like the details of your activity on our website, then just give us all the details and any pictures/logos you would like on there and we will put it all on for you for FREE. You don’t get free promotion done for you very often anymore, so take advantage while you can. Our website is recognised by all major search engines so if someone is searching, you’re more likely to be found. Not only that, it gives you a good home base if you don’t already have your own website, and a wider customer base.

Don’t just pin it to the notice board, pin it to the web!!!!!!!

We are one of the best kept secrets in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, hiding at the top of Pavilion Road. But although we like to be thought of as a hidden secret, this also makes us hard to find for many people. So to help you point people in the right direction or to find us yourself then we have put a very handy Google Map on our website. This can be found on the Find Us/Map page of our website.

The Summit Centre is in the Observer Newspaper

On Thursday 23rd December 2010 the Summit Centre appeared in the Observer Newspaper, now owned by the Chad, with the headline:

‘Kirkby Summit Centre is now surfing online’

The feature, by Nick Brimacombe, is about the launch of this very website and how much of a benefit it will be to the community. He writes ‘Finding out about community events at Kirkby’s Summit Centre has never been easier after its new website was launched last week’.

Centre Manager Kay Appleby told Nick ‘it’s hard to show people what great facilities we have here, but now the new website allows people to have a look around without even visiting the centre.’ Maureen added to Nick ‘ I don’t leave the house much now due to the cold weather it is hard for me to hear about things happening in my own community. This site gives me the chance to look at what is happening and attend some courses.’

Obedience Training Classes

The Midland Doberman Club holds Obedience Training at the centre for puppies and adults of any breed every Monday 7pm to 10pm. Courses run for a 10 week period and everyone is welcome.

This course is designed to offer practical advice on responsible dog ownership. Our training methods are based on motivational and kind techniques keeping your dog happy and interested throughout the course. Training your dog clarifies its position in the family pack and increases the bond between dog and handler.
